Butter Braids will arrive this Thursday, November 17th for pick up between 2:30pm-3:30pm You can pick them up in the coat room

Cast, Crew, and Pit party will be December 3rd at 7pm at 10569 Glen Eagle Place, Woodbury. List of foods to bring will be by last name. Will be coming out soon.

State Thespian Conference will be Saturday, February 19th and Sunday, February 20th. The Sunday activities will take place at The Guthrie. NIES: performance opportunity to get feedback and scores. You can do solos, duets, group musical numbers, solo acting with two contrasting monologues, duet acting, or group acting. More info will come out about deadlines. Pajama game at WHS this Saturday, November 19 at 7:30pm. It is FREE because of ticket swaps. More info coming out on when we are meeting, but it is usually half an hour before the show! You will need to find your own ride.

*Thespian points- shows seen, or participated in, as well as camps, etc…

**Register as soon as possible for The Little Mermaid or you won’t be able to rehearse. Also register for LoftPac, (very important for budget aspects).

*Senior/Freshman party on Friday, October 7th at 7:30pm at Quintin’s house.

*Junior/Sophomore party on Friday, October 7th at 7:30pm at Tony’s house.

*Make sure you are receiving newsletters, remind 101 texts (@loftpa to 81010) and are on the student faceboook student page for updates and reminders!

*Sign up for set construction on the link put on the student facebook page before going to set to let George know when you are going to be there.

*Booing –Be committed! You have two days to boo the next person. Post a pic of your goodies and put on instagram and the facebook page (#booedbyaloftie is the hashtag:)). Don’t tell anyone who you boo’ed , we’ll reveal it on Halloween. Addresses will be kept private. This year you will only Boo one person.

*Get poster plaster folders to Tony if you haven’t yet.

*Outreach focus this year is cancer. “Making magic for a cure” is the motto. The service project will be announced later.

*The Butterbraid fundraiser has started. Don’t forget to hit up your teachers! Profits will go to the London/Dublin trip or the New York trip in two years. Even if you aren’t traveling you can help out others. Due date is October 24th. Orders will be placed on the October 25th, so we can get them back before Thanksgiving.

Auditions–Please sign up for an audition time ASAP. If you are a veteran Loftie, please sign up to do your singing/acting audition  Monday after school. If you are a new Loftie, please sign up for Wednesday singing/acting if possible. For dance, sign up for Tuesday night at 8 (new time) or Wednesday. Do not register yet, just sign up for an audition.

Registration for LoftPAC–New for this year, all Lofties must register for LoftPAC (Drama Club) on the ERHS website just as you would for a sport. There is no cost to register. It is extremely essential that you register for LoftPAC in order for us to receive proper funding and stipends. This registration is due October 3rd. More information will be released soon. Stay tuned.

LoftPAC Meetings–Our monthly LoftPAC meetings will be held on the first Monday of every month in Room 1035.

London/Dublin Meeting–For anyone who is newly interested in attending our trip in June of 2017 to London and Dublin should attend an upcoming informational meeting on September 21st at 6:30 in the Choir Room. Parents and students are both encouraged to attend.

Tech Meeting–The meeting for all those interested in doing tech (lighting, sound, makeup, costumes, etc.) for the Little Mermaid is being held Friday, September 16th in Room 1035.

Parent Meeting–The parent meeting for all those involved in The Little Mermaid will be held Tuesday, September 20th.

Lettering Policy

In order to earn an East Ridge letter in theatre, students must meet the following requirements:

  1. Participate in each of the three main-stage productions in some capacity (e.g. acting, technician, set construction, ushering, etc.).
  2. Earn a bear minimum of ten Thespian points for East-Ridge-related theatre activities (see details above about point allocations).
  3. Complete at least ten set construction hours in the East Ridge scene shop. This total is inclusive of individual production requirements.

Please use the above Google form to input participation as that documentation will be used to track lettering as well.
