LoftPAC Alumni

Ben Gotz (’12) will be performing with minnprov this Saturday, April 19th at The Whole at Coffman Memorial Union. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. This is the last performance of the year so don’t miss it!

2/18/14 Ben Gotz (’12) is enjoying his Sophomore year at the University of Minnesota. Ben has spent nearly two years on the U of M Minnprov Troupe, playing for live audiences and making them laugh. He also brought his formidable improv skills to Ms. Hestwood’s Creative Dramatics and Acting class. Minnprov recently performed at The Whole, a music club beneath Coffman Memorial Union. Keep us updated on your next show Ben!

Alyssa Wynn (’12) is a sophomore at U-W, Madison and has been cast in a competitive musical theater show called Humerology. She writes, “there are 8 teams and each team performs a 20 minute musical that is student directed, written and choreographed. Each team has to audition half way through the year to be able to continue on to the final show, and my team made it! (yay!) The final show will take place on April 26th and that is when all the teams compete against each other and receive a ranking (1-8th place).”

All of the money raised will go to the Boys and Girls Club’s CAPA program which allows inner city kids (elementary through high school) the opportunity to take singing, dancing, acting and performing classes who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to do so.

Evan Coutu (’13) leaves in June for a full-time two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter DAy Saints. He has been assigned to the Poland warsaw Mission and will teach the gospel in polish! At Brigham Young University, Evan is involved as part of the BYU International Folk Dance Ensemble and enjoys learning dances from all over the world. In what little free time he has, Evan enjoys rock climbing in the mountains around campus. He will be home in May and is anxious to catch up with old friends!

There were a number of Lofties and Lofty Alumni meeting up by chance at Disney World in Florida this spring break. Vincent Bedard (’11), Joe Johnson (’12), Haley Webb and Brendan Finn (’16) were all spending time with the mouse. Brenna Masgai (’16) and Megan Deppa (’14) included Disney in their vacation plans as well.
